Studio surface

The work reaches the editor, run state, and evidence packet.

Scope

This role keeps QFlow Studio reliable while the product moves quickly. You will work across Docker Compose production topology, Next.js runtime behavior, Postgres migrations, Redis/Kafka health, quantum runner services, nginx, TLS, monitoring, and operational runbooks. The best fit is an engineer who likes reducing operational ambiguity. You should be comfortable finding the difference between a real incident, a noisy health check, a migration issue, and a test artifact.

Responsibilities

The outcomes this role is expected to make visible and dependable.

  • Maintain production Docker services without disrupting unrelated workloads on the host.
  • Improve deployment, rollback, health check, backup, and migration procedures.
  • Build observability around web, runner, Postgres, Redis, Kafka, nginx, and background jobs.
  • Harden authentication, secret handling, TLS posture, rate limits, and admin access boundaries.
  • Automate pre-production checks, smoke tests, abuse checks, and log review workflows.

What helps

Experience and working habits that make the hiring review easier.

  • Strong Linux, Docker, nginx, Postgres, and production debugging experience.
  • Comfort with Node/Next.js services and Python worker or runner processes.
  • Practical security instincts around secrets, cookies, headers, backups, and admin tooling.
  • Ability to write scripts and tests that make operations repeatable.
  • Good judgment about changing production safely on a shared server.

Benefits

How the role is supported day to day.

  • High ownership of a live production system.
  • Clear operational goals and visible impact on reliability.
  • Remote-first work with direct access to product decisions.
  • Strong preference for automation over manual runbook drift.

Hiring process

The process is structured around practical review and clear next steps.
